At the high-energy year-end 2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon, Hyunjin gave fans a scare—not with his performance, but with a fashion mishap.
On December 25, at the Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, the Stray Kids member nearly lost a pair of luxury earrings worth 80.5 million Korean won (approximately $55,000 USD). The situation was quickly resolved thanks to fellow member Felix, who found the missing earring and returned it to him.
The incident happened after Stray Kids’ energetic performance of their songs “Do It” and “CEREMONY.” While other members waved to fans on the ending stage, Hyunjin was seen looking down at the floor with a flustered expression.
Realizing what had happened, the members quickly began scanning the stage, and Felix eventually located the earring. Hyunjin hugged Felix in relief and smiled, clearly grateful.
After the show, Hyunjin shared his feelings on a fan communication platform, saying, “If it weren’t for Yongbok (Felix) today, I would have left work crying.” Fans shared photos from the red carpet to confirm the expensive earrings in question and expressed their relief that they were found.
The earrings in question are from a luxury brand, Cartier for which Hyunjin serves as an ambassador. They feature white gold, diamonds, emeralds, and onyx, and are listed for 80.5 million won on the official brand website. The Cartier’s ‘Panthère de Cartier Earrings’ feature a silver chain accented with the iconic Cartier panther face, inspired by the elegance of a feline.
Cartier describes the piece as crafted in white gold, set with 252 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 1.48 carats.
The high value and intricate design made the on-stage mishap even more dramatic, but thankfully, it ended without damage or loss.
Stray Kids are set to perform again at another major year-end event, the 2025 MBC Gayo Daejejeon, on December 31st. The 20th-anniversary show with the theme “MEOT,” will feature over 30 artists, including aespa, LE SSERAFIM, ATEEZ, and NCT DREAM, and will be hosted by SHINee’s Minho, Hwang Minhyun, and Annie.
Fans will surely be watching closely, not just for the performance, but also to see Hyunjin safely wear his accessories once again.
