On October 16, the 29-year-old singer and actor was discharged from the military after completing his active-duty service.

Since entering the training camp on April 17, 2023, he has served as a woodwind instrumentalist in the 6th Infantry Division’s military band.

A day before his discharge (October 15), Ong Seong Wu teased his return with an enthusiastic “Ahahahahahaha!!!” on his official fan cafe. Today, fans will get to hear from him directly during an exclusive live broadcast on his YouTube channel.

His agency Fantagio invited fans to join the live broadcast, stating, “WELO (fan club name), you’re invited to Ong Seong Wu’s discharge party! Meet us on Ong Seong Wu’s YouTube channel’.”

Fans are excitedly looking forward to his next acting projects and musical endeavors now that he is back in the spotlight.

He rose to fame as a member of Wanna One, formed through the reality show “Produce 101” in 2017. After the group’s disbandment in 2018, he successfully transitioned to acting with roles in “At Eighteen,” “More Than Friends,” “Seoul Vibe,” “20th Century Girl,” and “Strong Girl Nam-Soon.”
