Suzy, who recently graced the silver screen in June alongside Park Bo Gum in Wonderland, is contemplating a role in a new drama.
The 29-year-old actress is positively reviewing an offer to star in a new film by director Han Jae Rim.
On July 30, a representative of Management SOOP, her agency, informed EDaily that Suzy is reviewing an offer to appear in director Han Jae Rim’s new work, Delusion (literal title).
Showbox, the production company behind Delusion, initially offered the lead role to the Uncontrollably Fond actress early on, but unfortunately, their schedules didn’t align. However, after adjusting the production timeline, they extended the offer to Suzy again, and she is now considering it positively.
Director Han Jae Rim, known for The 8 Show and Emergency Declaration, is directing this new project.
Delusion is based on a popular webtoon and tells the story of Yoon I-ho, an artist who paints a portrait of a mysterious vampire woman named Song Jeong Hwa in 1935 Gyeongseong and 1800s Shanghai.
As the story unfolds, the woman’s true identity is revealed, and the artist experiences strange events that draw him to her. The film explores their intriguing relationship and the secrets surrounding Song Jeong Hwa.
Suzy has been offered the role of Song Jeong Hwa, the vampire woman, in the upcoming film. If she accepts, it will mark her first collaboration with director Han Jae Rim.
Actors Ryu Jun Yeol and Han Sohee were initially offered roles in the project Delusion, but discussions about the project were put on hold due to controversies surrounding their romantic relationship.
