Teen Top member Changjo has personally shared that he is in a relationship. The 30-year-old idol opened up honestly about his feelings and the positive changes it has brought to his life.
On January 5, he posted a long message on his Instagram Story, which began with a confession that he is dating someone. He apologized to fans who may have been surprised by the sudden news. The idol added, “I understand that some of you may feel disappointed or find this hard to accept, but I will continue to do my best so that my sincerity reaches you.”
He shared his resolution to “repay you with good music and performances,” along with New Year’s greetings to fans.
Changjo described the person he is dating as “someone I am grateful for, who helps me positively change my shortcomings and supports me.”
Reflecting on his 16 years in the entertainment industry, Changjo looked back on moments when he struggled emotionally and mentally. He admitted that there were times when he felt unstable, but said his partner has played a big role in helping him grow.
Changjo also reassured fans that his relationship has not affected his work in a negative way. Instead, he said he has become more mentally stable and feels even more focused on the stage and the music he loves most. He emphasized that both personally and professionally, he is now in a better place.
Fans quickly connected the announcement to an earlier social media post. On January 1, rapper and entrepreneur Kasper had posted a photo from a car date, tagging Changjo’s Instagram account. While the Teen Top member did not publicly name his girlfriend in his own statement, all the clues point to Kasper being the person he is in a relationship with.
After completing his mandatory military service in May last year, he embarked on a reinvigorated solo career. In October 2025, he signed with a new agency, PA Entertainment, released the single “All In My Zone,” and later held his first solo concert.
He has spoken recently about the creative freedom he now enjoys, being “deeply involved” in writing and composing his solo work to fully express himself.
Simultaneously, his group Teen Top, now a four-member act, successfully celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2025 with a new EP and concert tour.
