Hwarang from TEMPEST, Xdinary Heroes’ Gaon, and EPEX Keum Dong Hyun will be the new MCs of MBC’s Show! Champion.
According to Korean media outlets, Keum Dong Hyun, Hwarang, and Gaon will be joining the new MC lineup of MBC M’s Show! Champion starting on February 21.
Previously, Show! Champion used to have this awesome trio of MCs, Nana, Moon Sua, and Tsuki, who were all members of girl groups.
They did an incredible job hosting the show, and they even reached a major milestone with the 500th special episode on November 15, 2023. It was a special moment for them to wrap up their time on Show! Champion in such a grand way.
With this, Show! Champion has switched back to a boy group 3MC system. Before Nana, Tsuki, and Moon Sua, the show had another combination of MCs. From March 2020, it was ASTRO’s Moonbin, Sanha, and VERIVERY’s Kangmin who took on the hosting duties.
Hwarang gained recognition through MBC’s Under Nineteen and debuted as a member of TEMPEST in 2022. He even had the chance to host music shows before, like being a special MC for SBS MTV’s ‘The Show’ in 2023.
Gaon, on the other hand, debuted in 2021 as a guitarist for JYP’s Xdinary Heroes. Keum Dong Hyun, who was a former member of Mnet’s Produce X 101, started his career with EPEX in 2021. It’s exciting that this will be their first time as MCs on a music show.
