THE BOYZ made their mark at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2023. Their 8th mini album ‘BE AWAKE’ and the title track ‘ROAR’ earned them the prestigious Best Asian Group award.
MTV VMAJ 2023 was held at K Arena Yokohama on November 22. It’s been happening every year since 2002 and is the Japanese version of the MTV VMAs, a popular music award show in the US.
The Best Asian Group Award that THE BOYZ won is such a huge accomplishment. It’s even more special because they had an incredible year, with their successful world tour and performances at prestigious venues like the KSPO Dome.
THE BOYZ shared their thoughts through their agency ISTENT saying that they feel honored to receive this meaningful award.
They mentioned how having their amazing fandom, Derby, always supporting them motivates them to work hard. They also expressed their excitement about winning the award while making a comeback with their new song Watch It.
Moving forward, they are determined to meet expectations and deliver even more incredible performances and music that truly represents THE BOYZ.
