The next installment of The Game Caterers features artists from Starship and King Kong by Starship, as reported by Star News on September 17.
According to the media outlet, host and producer Na Young Seok’s team filmed the episode recently. This is the second time working directly with Starship since the first collaboration in 2022.
In 2022, The Game Caterers gathered 31 artists from Starship and King Kong for a two-day, one-night trip, including actors such as Yoo Yeon Seok, Lee Dong Wook, Lee Kwang Soo, Shin Seung Ho, Chae Soo Bin, and group members from MONSTA X, Cosmic Girls (WJSN), Cravity, and others.
This new version introduces additional names; among the participants are WJSN, Monsta X, CRAVITY, IVE KiiiKiii, and IDID, alongside actors Lee Dong Wook and Yoo Yeon Seok. Because the first episode was popular, expectations are high for this one to match or exceed fan interest.
The Game Caterers is a web entertainment/variety show by EggisComing under PD Na Young Seok. It draws from games and formats seen in his earlier works like New Journey to the West and Earth Arcade. The show emphasizes group chemistry, games, nostalgia, and cross-agency interactions.
This also fits into a broader trend with Na PD’s other program, The Game Caterers, in which he collaborates with various K-pop agencies and their artists. For example, there have been specials with HYBE, SM Entertainment, YG, and now JYP is confirmed to have its own episode. In the JYP special, many of their well-known acts are expected to appear (though final line-ups are often confirmed later). So far, it is reported that Stray Kids, TWICE, ITZY, NMIXX, KickFlip, and more artists will join the JYP special.
In The Game Caterers, PD Na travels or sends his crew to gather idols and actors, bring in games (often with nostalgia or pop culture references), and capture real personalities beyond their staged idol personas. Past episodes have included SM’s 30th anniversary special featuring multiple generations from the agency, and YG’s special where BLACKPINK’s Jennie, WINNER, iKON, TREASURE, and others participated.
The Starship version of The Game Caterers has already wrapped filming. However, it will be released after Channel Full Moon finishes its current break.
