Kim Hieora is making an acting comeback after a prolonged break of two years. Following a school bullying scandal that put her career on hold, “The Glory” actress has been cast in the upcoming occult thriller film “The Savior”.
She played a school bully in the Netflix original “The Glory” and was later accused of school violence in real life.
On March 13, Gram Entertainment confirmed her appearance in the upcoming occult film “The Savior”, directed by Shin Joon. As per the agency, Kim Hieora will play the role of Chun Seo and star alongside Song Ji Hyo.
‘The Savior’ is an occult thriller about a family who makes a desperate deal for a miracle, only to find themselves trapped in a terrible curse. The story follows their fight to escape the curse and reclaim their lives.
Kim Hieora plays Chun Seo, a single mother struggling to raise her son alone. When Seon Hee (Song Ji Hyo) moves in, Chun Seo’s life is turned upside down, and she finds herself at the center of a dark series of events.
Regarding her appearance in the film, she shared, “I’m grateful to have been able to participate in this work. I’ve done my best to deliver a good performance, so I hope you’ll show a lot of interest and anticipation.”
Kim rose to global fame after her appearance in “The Glory” and “The Uncanny Counter 2”. In September 2023, she was accused of being part of a school gang and extorting money from young students and forcing them to run errands. At the time, she denied involvement in any gang activities or bullying fellow students.
Seven months after the allegations surfaced, the agency Gram Entertainment revealed in April 2024 that she met with the accuser and reached a mutual understanding. After that, they vowed to support each other’s journey in the future.
Meanwhile, filming for ‘The Savior’ has been completed, and the movie is now in the post-production stage. A release is planned for later this year.
