K-drama fans can look forward to the upcoming premiere of “The Potato Lab”, a new drama starring Kang Tae Oh and Lee Sun Bin.
The drama, previously titled “Potato Research Institute”, is scheduled to air on tvN’s every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM KST.
In particular, this drama is grabbing attention since it is Kang Tae Oh’s first project after being discharged from the military last year. He is making his return to television after almost three years since his role in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” (2022).
“The Potato Lab” is a romance drama set in a potato research center. The story revolves around Kim Mi Gyeong (Lee Sun Bin), a skilled potato researcher with 12 years of experience. She is working on a secret project to develop a new potato variety.
Kim Mi Gyeong’s life changes with the arrival of So Baek Ho (Kang Tae Oh), the new director of the research institute. Initially, they have disagreements, but they eventually develop a romantic relationship.
So Baek Ho is a practical and independent individual who is efficient in his work. Despite his attractive appearance, he keeps to himself and has a straightforward approach to life.
Kang Tae Oh has established himself as a talented actor with his appearances in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, “Run On”, “The Tale of Nokdu”, and more. The Kdrama actor is set to lead his first-ever historical drama “The Moon Flows Over the River”, scheduled for broadcast later this year.
On the other hand, Lee Sun Bin has proven her acting skills in “Boyhood”, “The Heavenly Idol”, and “Work Later, Drink Now”.
Viewers have been patiently waiting for the drama since its announcement and are looking forward to the chemistry between Kang Tae Oh and Lee Sun Bin.
