Given its huge popularity in the webtoon space, it is no surprise that the webtoon is getting adapted into a Kdrama. On top of that, “The Remarried Empress” cast has been finalized featuring big names such as Lee Jong Suk, Shin Min Ah, Lee Se Young, and Ju Ji Hoon.

Plot
Navier, the empress of the Eastern Great Empire, was destined for greatness from a young age. She grew up to fulfill her role alongside her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, and together they seemed to have the perfect life. However, everything changed when Sovieshu met a mysterious woman named Rashta during a hunting trip.
Rashta was injured by one of Sovieshu’s hunting traps, and he felt responsible for her care. He brought her to the palace to nurse her back to health, but as time passed, Sovieshu found himself falling deeply in love with Rashta.
Sovieshu openly declared Rashta as his mistress. Initially, Navier appeared to accept this new arrangement. As Rashta’s influence over Sovieshu grew, Navier’s position on the throne began to feel threatened.

- Shin Min Ah as Navier Ellie Trovi, the adored empress of the Dongdae Empire. After finding out that her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, wants to demote and replace her with his mistress, she decides to divorce him. Navier then makes a new plan to become an empress again. She chooses to marry the crown prince of the neighboring rival Western Kingdom.
- Lee Jong Suk as Hienrey Alles Lazlo, the crown prince of the Western Kingdom. He is a lovable character who brings humor and joy with his fun actions and laid-back personality. He becomes a loyal and supportive friend to Navier and always stands by her side. As the story progresses, his role in Navier’s life evolves into something romantic.
- Ju Ji Hoon as Soviet Trovi, Navier’s first husband and emperor of the Dongdae Kingdom. He falls in love with a two-faced runaway slave and publicly announces her as his mistress.
- Lee Se Young as Rashta Isqua, a commoner with ill intentions and a shady past. She is not the most liked character in “The Remarried Empress”. She went from being a slave and mistress to becoming the Empress of the Eastern Empire after marrying Emperor Sovieshu.
