The K-pop industry recorded one of its busiest days of 2025 on September 1, as three leading groups—TREASURE, ZEROBASEONE, and NCT WISH—released new albums on the same day.
Each act delivered strong sales results; TREASURE and NCT WISH recorded career highs with albums, “Love Pulse” and “COLOR,” respectively. ZEROBASEONE, on the other hand, continued their million-selling streak with their fifth album.
The upcoming months are crucial for the 9-member project group, as negotiations are underway for contract renewals. Their future hangs in the balance, and they may disband if members’ agencies do not agree on contract extension terms.
Coming back to the subject, here are the first-day sales figures achieved by their new releases.
TREASURE Hits Career Peak with ‘Love Pulse’
YG Entertainment’s boy group TREASURE dropped their third mini-album “Love Pulse,” including a 92-page photobook, CD, photocards, poster, and other premium merchandise.
The album sold 541,877 copies on its first day, setting a new career record for TREASURE. This nearly tripled the first-day sales of their 2023 album “REBOOT” (220,540 copies).
Their sales trajectory has shown consistent growth: “THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE” (167,024), “CHAPTER TWO” (214,011), “REBOOT” (220,540), and now “Love Pulse” at over half a million copies.
As the group has signed an early contract extension, YG’s chief Yang Hyun Suk has personally confirmed exciting activities in the future. 2025 has been the busiest year for TREASURE with multiple releases, their first US tour, and their upcoming tour, “Pulse On.”
ZEROBASEONE Extends Million-Seller Streak with ‘Never Say Never’
ZEROBASEONE released their first full-length album, ‘Never Say Never,’ ahead of the world tour. The album features 10 tracks, including the title song “iKONIC,” pre-release single “Slam Dunk,” and b-sides “Goosebump,” “Dumb,” “Extra,” “Long Way Back,” “Now or Never,” “Star Eyes,” and “I No No.”
“Never Say Never” sold 1,102,096 copies on its first day, making it ZB1’s fifth consecutive million-seller. The figure places it third among their releases, behind “Melting Point” (1,458,089) and “Youth In The Shade” (1,240,700), but ahead of “Blue Paradise” (1,013,921) and “You Had Me at HELLO” (1,008,829).
ZEROBASEONE is the first K-pop group to record five consecutive million-sellers from debut onward. Their 2024 release “BLUE PARADISE” also reached #28 on the Billboard 200, marking the highest U.S. chart entry for a fifth-generation group.
NCT WISH Sets Personal Best with ‘COLOR’
NCT WISH, the newest and final unit of SM Entertainment’s NCT project, continued its momentum with the release of ‘COLOR’ and world tour ‘INTO THE WISH: OUR WISH.’ The album posted 772,917 first-day sales, marking their best performance to date.
The group’s sales have steadily climbed since debut: “WISH” (92,789), “Steady” (213,416), “Songbird” (270,639), “poppop” (551,983), and now “COLOR” is nearing 800,000.
Their 3rd mini-album contained pre-release single “Surf” and lead single of the same name, as well as “Baby Blue,” “Videohood,” “Cheat Code,” and more.
