December 6 was a special day for K-pop fans as Rosé from BLACKPINK, V of BTS, and TWICE released new music.

Despite intense competition, their 14th mini-album “STRATEGY” made a strong debut and surpassed over half a million copies on the first day alone.

According to the Hanteo Chart on December 6, TWICE’s mini-album “STRATEGY” sold 579,898 copies.

The group’s top-selling albums on debut day are led by “With YOU-th” with an impressive 758,876 copies sold. Following closely is “STRATEGY” with 579,898 copies sold. They also achieved notable first-day figures with “READY TO BE” (505,936 copies), “BETWEEN 1&2” (288,836 copies), and “MORE & MORE” (274,472 copies sold).

TWICE also made headlines for their collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion on the lead single, “STRATEGY.” The Houston-born rapper also appeared in the music video, which has nearly garnered 6 million views.

It is their second collab, after teaming up for the remix of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Mamushi” in October.

In addition, the album contains the following songs

  1. “STRATEGY” (ft. Megan Thee Stallion)
  2. “STRATEGY” (TWICE Ver.)
  3. “Like It Like It”
  4. “Keeper”
  5. “Magical”
  6. “Kiss My Troubles Away”

“STRATEGY” debuted at #3 on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart and the lead single ranked No. 7 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart.

In other news, TWICE will be ringing in the new year on Japan’s biggest stage. They will make their fifth appearance on NHK’s “Kōhaku Uta Gassen” on December 31.
