TWS skyrocketed to the top of the album chart right after their debut, solidifying their status as the most highly anticipated hit of the year.
According to Hanteo Chart, a site that tracks album sales, they sold a whopping 206,240 copies on the very first day of release. Not only that, but they also claimed the top spot on the Daily Physical Album Chart (as of January 22).
TWS is making a mark not only with their album sales but also on the music charts. Just an hour after the release of their debut album Sparkling Blue at 7 PM on January 22, all the songs from the album entered Melon’s Hot 100 chart.
The title track Plot Twist reached its peak at number 26 on the chart and it’s still holding strong as of 10 am on January 23rd.
On January 22, Sparkling Blue entered the iTunes Top Album chart in 11 countries/regions, including Thailand, India, Japan, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Mexico, and Turkey. Plot Twist charted on the iTunes ‘Top Song’ chart in 6 countries/regions, while Unplugged Boy also made it onto the chart in 3 countries/regions.
Lastly, TWS has some exciting activities lined up! They’ll be appearing on the popular web entertainment show Civilization Express on January 23rd and MBC’s Weekly Idol on January 24th.
