TWS, PLEDIS’ new boygroup, landed a spot in the top 10 debut albums in K-pop history.
TWS made their debut with their first mini album Sparkling Blue on January 22.
Their debut album sold a whopping 260,881 copies in the first week, which puts them at the 8th spot among all K-pop group debut albums. When it comes to boy groups, they’re even higher up the ladder, ranking 6th in history.
They’ve surpassed the sales of TREASURE (160,000 copies) and Fantasy Boys (130,000 copies).
On the first day of the album release, Sparkling Blue by TWS sold a whopping 206,240 copies. They even secured the top spot on Hanteo Chart’s Daily Physical Album Chart category on January 22. They also reached the top of the weekly chart from January 22-28.
The title track, Plot Twist, debuted at 268th place and then skyrocketed up 169 spots to reach the 99th position on Melon’s ‘Top 100’ at 10 am on January 29.
In addition, Plot Twist has been sitting at the top spot on Rakuten Music for a solid 6 days, and it also grabbed the first place on the Line Music’s K-Pop Daily Chart.
Lastly, TWS, a talented 6-member boy group, have introduced their own unique genre called Boyhood Pop.
