The holiday season is looking bright for Veteran 2, with a stellar box office performance!

Veteran 2 is an action crime film starring Jung Hae In and Hwang Jung Min, released on September 13.

Released during the Chuseok holiday, it continues to draw massive crowds.

According to Korean Film Council data, Veteran 2 (I The Executioner) drew 755,145 viewers on September 14, bringing its cumulative audience to 1,271,191. The film maintains its number one spot at the box office for the second consecutive day.

Veteran 2 has surpassed the 1 million viewer mark in just two days. It outperformed this year’s hit film Exhuma which reached the milestone in three days. Additionally, it has beaten last year’s highest-grossing film 12.12: The Day which took four days to reach 1 million viewers. It now shares the record with The Outlaws 4.

Notably, “Veteran 2” achieved the 1 million viewers mark a day faster than its prequel, Veteran, which was released in 2015. Industry experts predict that the film will maintain its box office lead throughout the Chuseok holiday period.

Veteran 2 is a crime thriller that follows the trail of a serial killer. The story joins Park Sun Woo (Jung Hae In), a rookie detective, as he teams up with fearless and seasoned veteran Seo Do-cheol (Hwang Jung Min) to crack the case. With Director Ryu Seung Wan at the helm, the film promises a gripping ride as the detectives pursue justice.
