Veteran 2 is breaking records with its successful box office run!
Director Ryu Seung Wan’s film Veteran 2 starring Jung Hae In and Hwang Jung Min drew 4 million viewers in less than a week, as reported by an integrated computer network distribution company.
The highly-anticipated movie is attracting a huge number of moviegoers during the Chuseok holiday (September 16-18).
Veteran 2 drew 1 million viewers on the last Chuseok holiday (September 18), following the mobilization of 3 million people initially.
The film reached 4 million viewers in 6 days, beating the original 2015 film Veteran’s record by 3 days. This milestone was achieved faster than:
- 12.12: The Day (12 days to 4 million)
- Exhuma (9 days)
- The Outlaws 2 (7 days)
To celebrate this milestone, Hwang Jung Min, Jung Hae In, and Shin Seung Hwan released a video that quickly gained 4 million views. The entertaining clip recreates the film’s iconic stairway action sequence.
Following the massive success of the 2015 original, which drew 13.41 million viewers, the sequel Veteran 2 was released after 9 years.
This eagerly-awaited sequel reunites Hwang Jung Min as the unstoppable Seo Do-cheol, joined by newcomer Jung Hae In as Park Sun-woo. The dynamic duo teams up to take down a criminal in a thrilling pursuit.
