HYBE’s detailed assessment report on idols has been making headlines for the past week.
The report mentions and criticizes Stray Kids, NCT DREAM, EXO, BTS V, Jungkook, SEVENTEEN, BLACKPINK, aespa, IVE, and nearly all groups.
Some new snippets from the 18000 pages long assessment reports are breaking the internet. In the now viral snippet, the agency is seen linking the BLACKPINK Rosé dating scandal and drug use allegations that surfaced last year to Jisoo’s fandom.
In April 2023, speculation emerged linking Rosé and South Korean actor Kang Dong Won in a romantic relationship. The rumors started after they were seen together at a party hosted by former Burberry executive Riccardo Tisci, where they sat next to each other. Additionally, they allegedly wore matching items and attended the same events.
Initially, YG Entertainment didn’t comment on the rumors. However, as speculation grew, they released an official statement denying the allegations and asking fans to stop spreading “unfounded rumors.”
In addition, Riccardo Tisci, former Burberry chief, posted photos from a party at Eva Chow’s mansion on April 11. The pictures showed BLACKPINK’s Rosé and actor Kang Dong Won attending. However, online users raised concerns after spotting what appeared to be drugs, including white powder, on the table.
The dating scandal and drug use allegations have come to light again with a mention in the HYBE’s controversial report, “Information about Jisoo has surfaced, and various issues related to her personal fandom are being mentioned in the community.
Rumors about Rosé’s dating rumors and drug allegations are also linked to the Tiffany ambassador issue, suggesting that they were orchestrated by Jisoo’s fandom. If this situation escalates, it might be possible to take some action to draw a line, but for now, it’s spreading as whispers in the community, so it seems like it will continue to be mentioned as needed throughout her solo activities.”
Following this, BLINKs have been calling for HYBE to apologize to her and are speculating that they might be responsible for fueling the drug use allegations.
After the criticism grew, HYBE apologized to all the artists mentioned and ridiculed in the report last month.
