WINNER’s Mino has completed his mandatory alternative military service today (December 23).
The 31-year-old rapper remains embroiled in controversy over neglecting his duties, even after being discharged.
In the latest development, Dispatch revealed statements from his fellow public service workers who reported that Song Mino attended work at the Mapo Facility Management Corporation office about twice a week at most, and at least 2-3 times a month.
A person who served with the WINNER member at the office stated that he would often not show up to work. When he did, he would arrive late, typically around 10 am, and leave shortly after.
Another social worker stated that Mino’s job was to make civil complaint calls as part of the resident parking team. However, he rarely attended work and when he did, he would often listen to music, lie down, or play games instead of performing his duties.
A few days back, Dispatch revealed that he had been absent from work since October 30. After returning from Hawaii, he was not seen at his workplace when the reporters from the news media outlets visited his unit in mid-November and early December.
They also reported that he received preferential treatment from the supervisor who managed his attendance record. In response, YG Entertainment revealed that he took sick leave due to an ongoing treatment he had been receiving before enlisting in the military.
The supervisor shared that Mino was deemed unfit for alternative service in March, despite this, he opted to complete his service period. The supervisor also hinted that the details of his service would be reported to the Military Manpower Administration.
In other news, WINNER leader Kang Seung Yoon completed his military service on December 19. Now, the group members will reunite to begin preparations for a comeback next year.
