Woo Do Hwan to Join Kim Soo Hyun in New Drama ‘Knock Off’

The upcoming drama Knock Off has assembled an impressive ensemble cast, featuring top talents like Kim Soo Hyun, Woo Do Hwan, Jo Bo Ah, and Kwon Nara.

While the cast is being finalized, it was recently revealed that Woo Do Hwan has joined the star-studded cast of the Disney+ show Knock Off,  as reported by Star-News on July 15.

The drama follows the story of Kim Sung Joon (Kim Soo Hyun), a man who loses his job during the IMF crisis and turns to the counterfeit goods business. He eventually rose to become the world’s foremost counterfeit kingpin, dominating the industry in both South Korea and globally.

In the upcoming drama, Woo Do Hwan portrays Lee Min Seok, the CEO of Korea’s largest portal site and a former high school classmate of Kim Sung Joon (played by Kim Soo-hyun). 

Lee Min Seok uses Kim Sung Joon to escape his financial woes. Kim Sung Joon, once a successful and charismatic individual with a secure job, finds himself unemployed overnight due to the IMF crisis. 

He initially turns to selling counterfeit goods to raise funds for Lee Min Seok’s business proposal but soon becomes consumed by the lucrative counterfeit market.

The upcoming Disney+ series Knock Off boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Kim Soo Hyun, Woo Do Hwan, Jo Bo Ah, Kwon Nara, Kim Si Eun, Kim Moo Yeol, Lee Jung Eun, Yoo Jae Myung, Jo Woo Jin, Kim Eui Sung, Choi Gyuri, Kim Hye Eun, and Kang Mal Geum.

On the work front, Woo Do Hwan has a slew of upcoming projects in the works, including the forthcoming Netflix series Mr. Plankton, the film Tropical Night slated for release in 2024, and the highly anticipated second season of the Netflix hit series Bloodhounds.
