New shocking revelations come to light in the controversy surrounding the relationship between Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron. Supporters of each side continue to reveal information about their personal and love lives.
According to the YouTube channel “Entertainment President Lee Jin Ho” on April 11, Kim Sae Ron allegedly dated a singer from early 2021 to May 2022. During this time, she reportedly showed affection publicly by sending a coffee truck to his music video set and engaging with her on social media.
After their breakup, the “Kiss Sixth Sense” actress struggled, which may have contributed to her drunk driving incident on May 18, 2022. On the day of the accident, she had canceled a filming schedule for “Bloodhounds” and consumed alcohol before getting behind the wheel and crashing into a transformer.
Netizens suspected that the singer was none other than Woodz (Cho Seung Youn). The 28-year-old singer enlisted in the military in January 2024 and is set to be discharged on July 21 this year.
On April 12, his agency EDAM addressed Woodz’s alleged relationship with Kim Sae Ron, stating, “It’s a personal matter, so confirmation isn’t possible. We ask for your understanding.”
Meanwhile, Kim Sae Ron was found dead in her apartment on Kim Soo Hyun’s 37th birthday, February 16. Last month, the bereaved family claimed she dated Kim Soo Hyun for six years, starting in 2015 when she was a minor.
After her passing on February 16, 2025, her family shared evidence of their relationship, including photos, text messages, and letters, through the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute. However, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, GOLD MEDALIST, disputes this claim, stating the relationship began in 2019.
Kim Soo Hyun held a press conference on March 31 at the Stanford Hotel in Seoul, addressing rumors about his relationship with Kim Sae Ron. During the conference, he became emotional, stating, “I did not date when the deceased was a minor.” His legal team has filed a 12 billion KRW lawsuit against the bereaved family.
