On February 13, YG announced that they will be partnering with Avex from Japan to hold a global open audition. It’s noteworthy because it’s the first time in 8 years that they’re conducting a joint audition. The best part is that aspiring artists can apply regardless of their gender or nationality.
YG Entertainment has planned a series of 10 large-scale auditions in Japan, starting with Sapporo and covering seven major cities like Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, Sendai, and Okinawa.

Since their debut in November last year, former CEO Yang Hyun-suk has taken the lead as a producer, raising high expectations for BABYMONSTER to become YG’s next successful girl group following in the footsteps of BLACKPINK.
