Just when you thought “When The Phone Rings” could not get any better, the leading man Yoo Yeon Seok surprised fans with a special treat.
The Friday-Saturday MBC Drama is currently occupying the Netflix charts and scoring good viewership ratings. The chemistry between leads Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin has made this drama a fan favorite.
Now, the 40-year-old actor will serenade viewers with his singing talents. He has already impressed critics and fans with his character Baek Sa Eon, a spokesperson for a politician.
It follows the story of a high-profile presidential spokesman from an influential family, Sa Eon. He is married to Hong Hee Joo, a sign language interpreter and daughter of a newspaper owner. Despite their convenient marriage, they have lived separate lives for three years.
However, everything changes when Hong Hee Joo is kidnapped, forcing Sa Eon to re-examine their relationship and confront the truth.
Today, his agency Stone Music Entertainment announced that Yoo Yeon Seok’s OST “Say My Name” for the drama will be released on January 4 at 6 PM.
“Say My Name” is a heartfelt song that expresses Baek Sa Eon’s (Yoo Yeon Seok) profound love and longing for Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin).
It is becoming increasingly common for the leading cast to sing an OST for drama. Last year, Kim Soo Hyun, Byeon Woo Seok, and Jung Hae In sang OSTs for their respective dramas.
On another note, the MBC drama “When The Phone Rings” will conclude with its 12th and final episode on January 4 at 9:50 PM.
