Following the resounding success of her last hit drama King the Land, the K-drama queen Yoona returns to TV with a new project.
As reported by OSEN on September 24, the Girls’ Generation member is in talks to star in the upcoming drama The Tyrant’s Chef (tentative title).
The drama is helmed by the acclaimed director Jang Tae-yoo renowned for his exceptional storytelling in hits like My Love from the Star, Hyena, and Lovers of the Red Sky.
The Tyrant’s Chef is generating significant buzz, thanks to the visionary direction of acclaimed PD Jang Tae Yoo. Following his successful comeback drama Knight Flower which peaked at 18.4% viewership ratings, expectations are high for Jang’s next masterpiece.
The 34-year-old actress has been offered the lead role in a new drama, marking her return to television since ‘King the Land’s’ successful run last year.
Regarding this, SM Entertainment confirmed the reports, stating, “Lim YoonA has received an offer to appear in ‘The Tyrant’s Chef’ and it is currently under discussion.”
With a proven track record of acclaimed performances in Hush, Big Mouth, The K2, and Exit, Yoona is set to captivate audiences once again in this title role.
The Tyrant’s Chef is a time-travel drama that follows a talented chef who reaches the pinnacle of success, only to find himself transported to the past, where he encounters a notorious yet culinary-obsessed king.
