K-pop group EASTSHINE has announced a significant lineup change, bidding farewell to members YoungKwang and Karis.
On June 3, TM Entertainment dropped the bombshell that Youngkwang and Karis’ contracts expired on May 27. Following thorough discussions with the agency, the duo decided to not renew the contracts.
Consequently, EASTSHINE will reorganize into a 5-member lineup and carry on group activities.
The group made their comeback with Heartthrob on May 3, wrapping up their promotional activities in the last week of May.
Since then, they’re gearing up for promotions in Japan and abroad. EASTSHINE has already kicked off the team reorganization, shifting from a 7-member group to a 5-member setup. In addition, they’ll be dropping their 2nd mini album in the latter part of the year.
Debuting in November 2023, the group had to face an unfortunate lineup change after just 7 seven months. The remaining members of EASTSHINE are IEL, Lumin, Phoenix, Hyun, and Dongjae.
