MBC’s long-running music program “Show! Music Core” has announced its newest hosts: ZEROBASEONE’s Kim Gyuvin, TWS’ Dohoon, and Hearts2Hearts’ A-Na.
Previously, the trio was reported to be the new MCs, and now it has been officially confirmed.
On February 25, MBC-TV’s “Show! Music Core” announced, “Kim Gyuvin, Dohoon, and A-Na will join as new MCs. They plan to bring energetic vibes every Saturday.”
The ZEROBASEONE member Kim Gyuvin had a five-week run as a special MC on “Show! Music Core” last summer, from August to September 2024. He clicked well with the regular hosts and brought a fresh boost of energy to the show.
The 20-year-old K-pop star added, “I am so thrilled and happy to become the MC of ‘Show! Music Core,’ a dream I’ve always had. I will approach it with sincerity, but also with wit, and I will give it my all.”
TWS’ Dohoon also previously filled in as a special MC in February and July last year. Most recently, he hosted the ‘2024 MBC Gayo Daejejeon’ with YoonA and Minho in December 2024.
He shared his feelings about becoming an MC, saying, “I have fond memories of being a special MC on ‘Show! Music Core’ early in my debut. I’m happy to be able to become a fixed MC a year later. I’m thrilled to meet Sai (fan club name) and viewers every Saturday. I’ll work hard to show you my best efforts.”
Fresh from Hearts2Hearts debut on February 24, A-Na has already been tapped to host “Show! Music Core”. As the youngest MC on board, she is set to bring her lively and charming personality to the show.
The 16-year-old K-pop idol shared, “It is truly an honor to be hosting the show, as I’ve grown up watching many senior artists perform on stage and dreamed of becoming a singer myself.” He added, “I want to create a pleasant Saturday with bright energy.”
The new trio will replace THE BOYZ’s Younghoon, Lee Jung Ha, and NMIXX’s Sullyoon, all of whom wrapped their journey with ‘Show! Music Core’ on February 15.
The new MC lineup will officially start hosting “Show! Music Core” beginning March 1. A sneak peek at the behind-the-scenes footage of their first meeting and poster shoot was unveiled today.
