Park Gunwook of ZEROBASEONE celebrated his birthday with a generous donation to help children at risk of starvation. On January 10, Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced that the 20-year-old K-pop idol contributed 11 million won (about $7,500 USD) to their “Hope Lunchbox” project. This project supports children facing poverty, abuse, neglect, and lack of care.
The donation will provide children with weekly lunchboxes or meal kits, as well as access to family activities, psychological counseling, and parenting support.
Park shared his motivation behind the gift, saying, “I wanted to share my heart, albeit small, on my birthday. I hope this meal reaches the children and fills their day with warmth, and becomes a small help in growing their dreams and hopes.”
Last year, on his birthday, Park Gunwook donated 10 million won to support the bereaved families of the Jeju Air plane disaster. At that time, the ZEROBASEONE member shared that he wanted to express his sincere condolences to those who are deeply saddened by the accident.
On the work front, Park Gunwook’s group, ZEROBASEONE, formed through the audition program Boys Planet, recently decided to extend their group activities by two months. This allows all nine members to perform together until March 2026. The extension is intended to thank fans, known as ZEROSE, for their continuous support.
The group is presently preparing for their “2026 HERE&NOW ENCORE” concerts, a celebratory finale to their successful world tour. These special shows are scheduled for February 18-19 in Japan and March 13-15 in Seoul.
Prior to this, the nine-member group will drop their final special album, “RE-FLOW,” on February 2, 2026. This album is meant to share the true feelings and memories the nine members have built together over the past 2.5 years.
