Kim Hye Yoon is venturing into the horror genre with Salmokji: The Whispering Waters, releasing this spring. Directed by Lee Sang Min and produced by The Lamp, the film is distributed by Showbox and is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 8, 2026.
The story is about a road-view filming crew who travel to a remote reservoir called Salmokji. They were sent to reshoot their footage after an unknown figure appeared in their original recording.
Kim Hye Yoon plays Soo In, the producing director who leads the crew to Salmokji. Soo In is someone who “only believes what she has seen with her own eyes.”
She stars alongside Lee Jong Won, Kim Jun Han (who plays her mysterious senior Kyo Sik), Jang Da Ah, and Yoon Jae Chan.

Kim Hye Yoon is set to reunite with her SKY Castle co-star Yum Jung Ah in this intense crime drama. Distributor Plus M Entertainment has released the first stills to give a glimpse into the story and characters.
Three of a Kind (formerly known as Land) is a drama that follows three women, Hwasuk, Choonja, and Doyeon, struggling to survive in a once-thriving mining town. The town is now overtaken by a casino.
Kim Hye Yoon plays the youngest of the trio, Doyeon, a bank clerk. She joins Yum Jung Ah, who plays Hwasuk (the eldest “big sister” figure), and Cha Joo Young, who takes on the role of Choonja, a woman obsessed with the casino.
This project is a special reunion for Kim and Yum, who previously played mother and daughter in the 2018 JTBC blockbuster SKY Castle.
Good Partner 2 (Drama)

Good Partner season 2 follows Cha Eun Kyung (Jang Nara), who has left Law Firm Daejung to open her own practice called “Spring Again” (Dasi Bom).
A special teaser released at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards revealed her chemistry with her new partner. Jang’s character delivers the confident line, “Just trust me,” to which Kim Hye Yoon’s rookie attorney immediately fires back, “No, trust me!”
Like the first season, the drama is written by a practicing divorce attorney.

High School Detective (Film)

The mystery thriller film High School Detective is currently in pre-production and is scheduled for a 2027 release. As per sources, the film will be directed by Yang Junho, and the filming is expected to begin in March.
As the title implies, it follows a detective who must go undercover in a high school to solve a complex case. Kim Hye Yoon is attached to play one of the lead roles. Shin Ryujin of the girl group ITZY is in advanced talks to join the cast in a major role.

Kim Hye Yoon is currently reviewing the offer to star in the drama adaptation of Keigo Higashino’s bestselling Japanese novel. She will be joined by Bon Appètit, Your Majesty fame Lee Chae Min.
The story follows three petty thieves who hide out in the Namiya General Store, a mysterious shop that has been vacant for over 30 years. There, they discover that letters seeking advice begin to arrive from the past.
The beloved novel has previously been adapted into films in Japan and China. The Korean version will be produced as a 10-episode OTT series, currently in pre-production.
