The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards, held on May 5, 2025, at COEX in Seoul, brought together the brightest stars of Korean film, television, and theater for a night of glamour and celebration.
Hosted by the beloved trio Shin Dong Yup, Suzy, and Park Bo Gum, the all-encompassing award ceremony honored outstanding achievements in storytelling and performance. Fan-favorite dramas like “Lovely Runner” and “When Life Gives You Tangerines” lead the nominations.
IU, Kim Tae Ri, Park Bo Gum, Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon, Hyun Bin, Song Hye Kyo, Lee Byung Hun, Jeon Yeo Been, and more were nominated for top honors.
“When Life Gives You Tangerines” won four awards, including Best Drama, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Screenplay. While fans were hoping for IU and Park Bo Gum to win Best Actress and Actor awards in the Drama category, Kim Tae Ri and Ju Ji Hoon emerged as winners.
On the other hand, “Harbin” bagged the Best Film award, and Jeon Do Yeon and Jo Jung Suk won Best Actress and Actor awards in the Film category.
