Billboard K Power 100 Awards is set for August, where fans can expect to see the K-pop idols who have been making waves on the Billboard charts all year long.
On June 6, Billboard Korea revealed that the Billboard K POWER 100 awards show is scheduled for August 27 at the Hyundai Card Music Library in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
The event is held to recognize the most influential figures in the music industry. To celebrate the launch of Billboard Korea, this year’s awards ceremony will be honoring influential figures in the Korean and Asian music industries.
The ‘Billboard K-Power 100’ awards will bring together global music industry professionals to recognize K-pop’s achievements. Attendees will include CEO Mike Van, editor-in-chief Hannah Karp, and international industry leaders.
This event follows the launch of Billboard Korea, announced during Mike Van’s visit to Korea in April, where he met with Billboard Korea CEO Kim Yuna.
At the press conference jointly held by Mike Van and Kim Yuna, they discussed the expansion plans and how the K-pop genre’s popularity is growing immensely.
Billboard Korea has rescheduled the unveiling of the ‘Billboard K Vol. 1‘ issue to coincide with the Billboard K-Power 100 awards ceremony on August 27, as decided by Billboard’s global leadership team.
Lastly, The awards ceremony will be held at the Hyundai Card Music Library in Seoul on August 27th, starting at 5 PM. The event will feature a two-part program, consisting of the Billboard K-Power 100 Awards presentation followed by the Billboard K Launch Party celebration.
