As the Road to Kingdom 2 is set to premiere in September, Mnet is announcing new updates regularly.
First, it was announced that the highly-anticipated show is returning with a new format in the second half of 2024. Now, Mnet confirmed the Road to Kingdom 2 lineup and it looks quite promising.
2024 Road to Kingdom 2 Lineup
On July 10, Mnet announced the following lineup for season 2

- ONEUS
THE NEW SIX is a group formed by legendary K-pop singer PSY, and managed under P NATION. The 6-member group, formed through the SBS Audition program LOUD, debuted in May 2022 with the mini album WAY UP.
The CrewOne, a project unit with ATBO and JUST B members, is also competing for the top spot at Road to Kingdom 2. Their agencies IST Entertainment and Bluedot merged these groups last month.
Formed and managed by MNH Entertainment, 8TURN debuted as an 8-member group with a mini album 8TURNISE on January 30, 2023.
YOUNITE, under the agency Brand New Music, is part of the lineup of Road to Kingdom 2. They entered the K-pop scene with EP YOUNI-BIRTH on April 20, 2022.
CRAVITY is a group under Starship Entertainment, home to MONSTA X, IVE, and more talented artists. They debuted four years ago on April 14, 2020, with their first album HIDEOUT: REMEMBER WHO WE ARE – SEASON1.
Formed by Yuehua Entertainment, TEMPEST is a 7-member boy group that debuted with a single album Bad News on March 2, 2022.
ONEUS is making a comeback on the second season of the survival show, Road to Kingdom. They showed lively group dance and consistent live performances during their participation in Road to Kingdom Season 1.
Mnet has rebranded ‘Road to Kingdom’ into a standalone show, shifting its focus from a qualifying series for ‘Kingdom’ to a platform that highlights talented boy groups with great potential. The new format will give these groups a chance to flaunt their skills and gain recognition.
Lastlt Taemin from SHINee, is likely to host the show, serving as a mentor and inspiration to the next-gen groups.
