Yoona, a member of the K-pop group Girls’ Generation, made a smart investment in 2018 when she purchased a building in Seoul’s upscale Cheongdam-dong neighborhood.
The property’s value has since increased significantly, much more than she paid for it.
In October 2018, the Big Mouth actress purchased a building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, under her own name, with a contract value of 10 billion won, equivalent to 70.58 million won per 3.3 square meters of land.
According to the real estate industry on July 12th, the building’s estimated value has increased by approximately 15 billion won since then.
The building, located near Gangnam-gu Office Station and Apgujeong Rodeo Station, has:
- 2 basement floors and 4 above-ground floors
- A land area of 141 pyeong (approximately 469 square meters)
- A total floor area of 442 pyeong (approximately 1,460 square meters)
According to the real estate registry, the property has a debt of 7.2 billion won, indicating that Yoona’s actual investment is around 4 billion won.
The building’s land value is estimated to be around 24.3 billion won, calculated from the current land price of 172 million won per pyeong multiplied by the land area of 141 pyeong.
On the work front, Yoona starred in the JTBC drama King the Land last year. Her upcoming film Pretty Crazy opposite Ahn Bo Hyun will be released in October 2024.
