This apology comes after the excessive security measures taken for the Lovely Runner actor sparked controversy.

On July 14, the representative of the security company addressed the recent incident and use of a flashlight at the ICN International Airport on July 12.

Talking to News1, the official admitted, “The use of the flash by our bodyguard was a mistake, and we deeply regret any discomfort it caused the public. We will take steps to prevent it from happening again by educating our bodyguards and implementing internal policies.”

Controversy erupted when Byeon Woo Seok departed from Incheon International Airport to attend the ‘2024 Asia Fan Meeting Tour – Summer Letter’ in Hong Kong. Some bodyguards were accused of using excessive security measures.

Bodyguards protecting Byun Woo Seok in the airport lounge flashed their lights at fellow passengers, causing a stir. The incident was caught on video where a security guard was seen flashing light at passengers waiting in the lounge, even when they did not try to approach him.

As passengers at the airport complained, the security company’s leader stepped in to apologize and resolve the issue.

On another note, Byeon Woo Seok will hold a fanmeeting in Hong Kong at AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 11 today (July 14).
