San E, a well-known rapper, is in trouble with the law.
He has been accused of attacking a pedestrian at a park and is now facing charges. The Mapo Police station in Seoul took action against him on August 17, following a report about the incident.
San E is accused of assaulting a pedestrian at a park in Mapo-gu on July 28. According to reports, he told the individual to ‘straighten their bike’ and then hit the pedestrian in the face with his phone, causing injuries to their eyes and mouth.
The police responded to the scene, conducted a preliminary investigation, and initially let San E go.
However, after further questioning, they determined San E to be guilty and have now formally booked him.
This is not the first time he is embroiled in controversy for his actions. The 39-year-old rapper received a massive backlash after his controversial remarks about feminism. This led to his contract termination with agency Brand New Music, in late 2018.
On another note, San E debuted with an EP Everybody Ready? in September 2010 under JYP Entertainment. He rose to fame with the single A Midsummer Night’s Sweetness, a collab with singer Raina. After leaving JYP Entertainment and Brand New Music, he is now signed with FameUs Entertainment.
