K-drama’s biggest stars gathered at the 6th Newsis Hallyu Expo (2024 K-Expo) to celebrate the best of Korean culture.
Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Hye Yoon, Go Minsi, and More to Receive Awards at 6th Newsis Hallyu Expo (2024 K-Expo)This year’s winners were already announced on August 13 except for the Seoul Metropolitan Council Chairman’s Award ahead of the event.
On August 22, Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Hye Yoon, H1-KEY, Go Minsi, Chae Hong Hyeop, Byun Yo Han, and more walked the red carpet for Newsis Hallyu Expo 2024.

- Kim Soo Hyun: Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award for his heart-wrenching performance in “Queen of Tears”
- Go Minsi: Seoul Mayor’s Award for her thrilling roles in “Sweet Home” Seasons 1-3
- Byun Yo Han: National Assembly Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee Chairman’s Award for his impressive acting chops in “Uncle Samsik”
- Kim Hye Yoon: National Assembly Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee Chairman’s Award for her outstanding performance in Lovely Runner
- H1-KEY: Seoul City Council Speaker’s Award for their addictive hits Let it Burn and Rose Blossom
- Chae Jong Hyeop and Kim Jiyeon (Bona): Seoul Tourism Foundation CEO Award for their undeniable charm
- MODHAUS CEO Jung Byeong Gi: Korea Creative Content Agency President’s Award for his innovative contributions
- Big Ocean: Hallyu Special Award for breaking barriers as the first hearing-impaired group recipient
- PLAVE – Seoul Metropolitan Council Chairman’s Award for their contribution to promoting Korean pop culture
The 2024 Newsis Hallyu Expo featured performances by H1-KEY, tripleS, and Big Ocean.
Since 2019, this amazing event has been celebrating the people and companies that have helped K-culture take the world by storm.
Various organizations, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and others support it.
The event was held at Chosun Palace in Gangnam Seoul and livestreamed on the Newsis YouTube channel.
