Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin has publicly spoken out against the company’s decision to limit her creative involvement with the popular K-pop group NewJeans.

Min, who played a crucial role in shaping the group’s sound and image, has been handed a ‘delegation of work contract’ that restricts her production work with NewJeans to a mere 2 months and 6 days, from August 27 to November 1.

More recently, a representative of Min Hee Jin stated, “NewJeans successfully completed a fan meeting at the Tokyo Dome in Japan in June, and is planning a world tour in 2025. It is surprising to think that the production of an idol group preparing for a world tour can be completed in just two months.”

As claimed, the contract permits termination if ADOR deems Min’s work performance “significantly insufficient” or if maintaining the contract becomes difficult due to management issues.

Min Hee Jin’s side questioned HYBE’s intention to keep her as the producer, given the unreasonable contract terms. They refuse to sign the contract, anticipating further distorted media reports. ADOR’s board requested a signature by August 30.

Previously, ADOR announced the appointment of Kim Joo Young as the new CEO on August 27 and limited former CEO Min’s role as a producer of NewJeans. On the same day, she claimed that the dismissal was unilateral.
