LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin has subtly addressed the ongoing hate and criticism she and her group have been facing for quite some time now.
On September 9, during a live broadcast on Weverse, Yunjin made a remark towards the end of the stream that many fans believed was a veiled response to her critics.
In fact, LE SSERAFIM members have been clapping back at haters during their recent comeback promotions. They have been receiving massive backlash since their performance at Coachella and the HYBE-ADOR feud.
Yunjin shared, “It gets so easy to be all cynical, like sly and snarky, because that’s what gets you the most engagements.”
She added, “But there is a law, a principle in the universe, and what is true, what is just, and what is right will always get the last laugh in the end.”
She assured FEARNOTs to not worry as they are “Strong-minded, strong-willed people.’
This is not the first time she has clapped back at haters, Yunjin shared a letter on Weverse, talking about the pressures of being an idol and cyberbullying.
In the letter, Yunjin spoke out about the harsh reality of being a K-pop idol, where they are often expected to silently tolerate bullying, hate speech, and hurtful comments. She shared that an idol is labeled ‘uncool’ if they try to speak out against criticism and cyberbullying.
On another note, LE SSERAFIM continues to grow despite the hate they have been getting. They recently scored their second Billboard HOT 100 entry and are scheduled to perform at the VMAs pre-show on September 11.
