Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi discussed his unlikely yet strong bond with Korean superstar Park Bo Gum.
Ahead of the release of his new series What Comes After Love on September 27, Sakaguchi sat down for an interview with Star News on September 13.
He opened up about how he met Kdrama heartthrob Park Bo Gum, saying, “We met at the music awards ceremony ‘MAMA’ and became close. At our first meeting, we only exchanged greetings, and from our second meeting onwards, we became close friends.”
Kentaro Sakaguchi reveals meeting the Wonderland actor every time he visits Korea, “Every time I come to Korea, I meet Park Bo Gum. We haven’t worked together on a project, but we personally meet like friends and spend time talking about work. Building a trust relationship is important when working, and with Park Bo Gum, that’s already established, so I’d like to work together on any project if given the chance.”
They have both gained experience in Japanese and Korean dramas and films. With Kentaro Sakaguchi now launching his acting career in Korea, the possibility of them collaborating on a project is not entirely far-fetched.
Regarding his future plans, Kentaro is open to working in Korea, despite language challenges, and looks forward to joining a Korean project.
On another note, What Comes After Love is scheduled to premiere on September 27.
