While G-Dragon’s agency remains tight-lipped on the details of his long-awaited comeback, multiple reports are circulating about the solo comeback date and title.
According to ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers), G-Dragon has registered a new song called “Power.” The song was registered in ASCAP today (October 14), with the BIGBANG leader credited as performer and songwriter.
The songwriters include Brown Thomas Lee (aka Tommy Brown), Hong Jun Park, Ji Yong Kwon (G-Dragon’s real name), and Thomas Theron Makiel.
The list of songwriters has built anticipation for his upcoming release as Grammy-winning producers Brown Thomas Lee and Theron “Uptown AP” Thomas have joined hands with GD.
These producers have previously worked with Miley Cyrus (‘We Can’t Stop), Rihanna (‘Pour It Up’), Beyoncé (‘Bow Down’), Justin Bieber (‘Holy’), and Ariana Grande (‘Positions & 7 Rings’).
Previously, Korean media outlets reported that G-Dragon is set to make a comeback on October 25 and a concert scheduled for November. However, his agency Galaxy Corporation has not denied or confirmed any of the media reports.
If reports are true, G-Dragon may release the single “Power” on music platforms on October 25.
