BLACKPINK’s Rosé is busy rewriting history books with her hit single “APT.” with Bruno Mars!
She surprised fans by releasing the collaboration single “APT.” on October 18, with no prior promotions or teasers.
The song has reigned on US Spotify for 8 days and has achieved the highest-charting entry by a K-pop female act on the Billboard HOT 100.
According to Billboard’s official chart released on October 29, “APT.” secured the 8th spot on the prestigious HOT 100 chart. Notably, this achievement comes amidst fierce competition from other popular releases, including Billie Eilish’s “Birds Of A Feather” at No. 3 and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” at No. 5.
Rosé has once again broken BLACKPINK’s record by scoring the highest-charting entry. Previously, it achieved the biggest streaming day on Spotify, surpassing her own group song “Pink Venom.”
With “APT,” Rosé breaks records as the highest-ranking female K-pop artist on Billboard’s HOT 100. She surpassed BLACKPINK’s previous milestone with “Ice Cream” (feat. Selena Gomez), which peaked at No. 13 in 2020.
The 27-year-old singer even surpassed her previous solo best with “On The Ground” (2021) and BLACKPINK Lisa’s “ROCKSTAR” (this year), both of which peaked at No. 70.
In addition, Lisa’s “New Woman” debuted at No.97, whereas Jennie’s solo release “Mantra” secured the 98th spot.
Lastly, “APT.” has cracked the top 5 on the UK Official Singles Chart, ranking 4th. Rosé sets the stage for her highly-anticipated solo album “rosie“, slated for December release.
