Song Jae Rim, who recently starred in TVING’s first-ever historical drama “Queen Woo”, has died.
According to the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul, Song’s body was discovered at his residence in Seongdong-gu on November 12 at approximately 12:30 p.m.
According to authorities, an acquaintance discovered the 39-year-old actor’s body at his residence when they arrived for a scheduled lunch meeting.
A police official stated that, as of current investigations, there is no evidence suggesting foul play or criminal involvement.
Additionally, it has been reported that a suicide note was found at the scene, although the contents have not been disclosed.
Born in 1985, Song Jae Rim embarked on his acting journey with a memorable role in the 2009 film “Actresses.” His breakout performance came in 2012 with the hit MBC drama “The Moon Embracing the Sun.”
On television, Song impressed audiences with performances in “Queen Woo,” “Work Later, Drink Now,” “Secret Mother,” “Clean with Passion for Now,” and “All That We Loved.”
His filmography also includes notable titles such as “The Snob,” “On Your Wedding Day,” “Good Morning,” and more.
He had recently explored theater with “Wife” and “Rose of Versailles” and appeared in TVING’s “Queen Woo” in August. His sudden death has come as a shocking blow as he had been consistently working since his debut.
The funeral arrangements for the late Song Jae Rim have been made at Room 2 of Yeouido St. Mary’s Funeral Home. The immediate family members have been registered as the chief mourners.
The funeral service is scheduled to take place on November 14 at 12:00 PM. The final resting place has not been determined at this time.
