Attention, BLINKs! BLACKPINK’s reunion is happening sooner than expected.
On February 6 at midnight, YG Entertainment released a teaser for their upcoming world tour. However, venue, dates, locations as well as the title of the world tour has not yet been announced.
As per previous reports, BLACKPINK is expected to make a comeback in May after all members wrap up solo endeavors.
Currently, only Rosé has released her solo debut album “rosie” and the remaining members have announced their upcoming solo comebacks. Jisoo will be the next one to release her mini-album “AMORTAGE” on February 14. Following that, Lisa and Jennie will release their debut studio albums “ALTER EGO” and “Ruby” on February 28 and March 7.
Their world tour and group comeback were repeatedly teased by YG Entertainment’s Executive Director Yang Hyun Suk.
Their last world tour BORN PINK was the highest-grossing world tour by an Asian act. The tour began in October 2022 and concluded in September 2023, with 66 shows in Asia, Europe, and North America.
The Born Pink Tour by BLACKPINK was a massive commercial success, grossing a total of $331.8 million from 1,815,183 tickets sold in 66 shows. Notably, the tour generated $103.80 million in revenue in North America alone, with a 100% sell-out rate across 19 reported shows.
Their upcoming tour is expected to surpass the aforementioned figure as fans have been waiting a long time for BLACKPINK’s reunion.
If reports are true, they will make a comeback in May, nearly three years after the release of the studio album “Born Pink” in September 2022.
BLINKs are over the moon as it is going to be an exciting year with members’ solo and group activities. All eyes are on BLACKPINK as they return to the stage as a full group after two years and prepare to shatter records with brand-new music.
