On February 17, a police official reported on the 17th that the late Kim Sae Ron is believed to have taken her own life, and the case will be handled as a death investigation. The official also stated that no will or suicide note was found, and there are no special investigation details to share.
According to the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul, Kim Sae Ron was found dead at her residence in Seongdong-gu on February 16 at approximately 4:45 PM. A friend, who had planned to meet her earlier, found her body upon arriving at her home and immediately notified the authorities.
According to a police official, “There is currently no evidence of forced entry or foul play.” The police have declined to comment on whether an autopsy will be conducted, out of respect for the deceased’s family.
