Haechan from NCT has made a kind-hearted donation to support the recovery efforts in Yeongnam. The region was recently affected by devastating wildfires.
On March 25, the Community Chest of Korea revealed that Haechan had made a generous donation of 50 million won to support the relief efforts for the Yeongnam region wildfires.
This contribution will help provide vital support to those impacted by the wildfires.
The NCT member shared his thoughts, saying, “I was heartbroken when I heard the news about the people who suffered greatly from the sudden wildfires. I hope that the residents of the affected areas will be able to regain their stable daily lives as soon as possible.”
Wildfires in Sancheong and Uiseong, South Korea, have caused widespread damage. Sadly, 18 people have died and over 27,000 have lost their homes. To help those affected, Haechan has made a donation to support the relief efforts.
The 24-year-old singer and dancer has previously donated 100 million won to support recovery efforts following the devastating 2023 Turkiye-Syria earthquake. His massive donation also earned him membership in the prestigious ‘Honor Society’, a group of high-value donors for the Love Fruit charity.
Haechan has been a part of SM Entertainment’s NCT 127, NCT DREAM, and NCT U since 2016. He has participated as a lyricist for multiple NCT DREAM songs such as “Flying Kiss”, “Like We Just Met”, “Best Of Me”, and more. He recently participated as a featured artist on bandmate Mark’s pre-release single “+82 Pressin’”, which dropped on March 19.
