Jin and j-hope are the only BTS members who have completed military service. Since his discharge on June 12, 2024, the oldest BTS member has been working tirelessly to bring fresh and fun content to ARMYs.
Without taking a day off, he has filmed appearances for several variety shows, became a torchbearer for the Paris Olympics, launched the Run BTS spin-off, and worked on new music. Jin has also been making waves in the fashion world with collaborations with Gucci, FRED, Alo Yoga, and other luxury brands.
Amidst all, he dropped his solo debut mini-album “Happy” on November 15, 2024. The 32-year-old singer was the last BTS member to release a solo album. Since he was the first one to enlist in 2022, he could not release a mini or a studio album and instead released a single “Astronaut” in collaboration with Coldplay.
While the j-hope is on a world tour right now, Jin is currently working on new music. The duo is completing their solo activities ahead of the hugely-awaited BTS reunion in June.
On April 14, Newsen exclusively reported that Jin has plans to release a new album in May. This is his first solo comeback in six months, following the success of his debut album “Happy” last November. The album sold over a million copies in its debut month and settled at No. 4 on Billboard 200. With plans to stay active in 2025, fans are looking forward to his next musical release.
Jin also recently made his Netflix debut with the variety show “Kian’s Bizarre B&B” on April 4. The first three episodes were released simultaneously and episodes 4-6 will be available to stream on April 15, exclusively on Netflix. The 9-episode reality show will conclude on April 22.
Jin will remain occupied with solo activities in the first half of 2025 including musical release as he resumes his singing career. j-hope has already concluded the North American leg of the world tour “Hope on the Stage” on April 6 and began the Asia tour last weekend in Manila.
Both will wrap solo activities before early June and reunite for a group comeback. V and RM will be the first ones to discharge on June 10 followed by Jungkook and Jimin the next day. Suga will complete his alternative service on June 21, and they will work on the album and go on a world tour.
