After a three-year hiatus from group tours, BTS has officially confirmed plans for a global stadium tour set to begin in 2026. This announcement was made during their Weverse livestream on July 1, 2025, which was their first group appearance since 2022. The tour will follow the release of their new album, currently in production and expected to drop in spring 2026.

BTS Tour Announcement and Timeline

BTS’ world tour 2026 will be their first full-group concert series since the conclusion of military service for all seven members. With Jin, j-hope, Suga, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook now all discharged, it will be their return to large-scale live performances.

While specific dates have not been confirmed, BTS is expected to launch shortly after the album release, likely between May and June 2026. Based on the scale of previous BTS tours, this global run is projected to last anywhere from six to nine months, covering multiple continents and over a dozen countries.

Expected Tour Locations

HYBE has not released an official tour schedule, but industry insiders and historical data from BTS’s past tours suggest that the 2026 world tour will cover key markets across Asia, North America, Europe, Oceania, and Latin America. Likely cities include:

  • Asia: Seoul (opening show), Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila
  • North America: Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Toronto
  • Europe: London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam
  • Oceania: Sydney, Melbourne
  • Latin America: São Paulo, Mexico City

Venues are expected to be major-capacity stadiums such as SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Wembley Stadium in London, and Olympic Stadium in Seoul.

Ticketing Information

Ticketing will be managed through platforms like Ticketmaster, AXS, Ticket Melon, Live Nation, and Weverse for fan club presales. Fans who hold a Weverse Membership will likely gain early access to presale tickets, as was done in previous BTS tours.

Tour Production and Setlist Expectations

The 2026 tour will feature large-scale production, potentially including AR/VR elements, multi-level stages, LED visual effects, and live bands. BTS’s past tours were known for high-concept themes, synchronized choreography, and solo stages for each member. This tour is expected to continue that trend.

The setlist will likely include new songs from the upcoming 2026 album, along with established hits such as “Dynamite,” “Butter,” “Fake Love,” “Spring Day,” “Mic Drop,” and “Boy With Luv.” Members are also expected to perform individual solo tracks released during their hiatus.

Album Recording Begins in the U.S.

According to BTS’s announcement, they began working on their new group album in July, slated for spring next year. The recording sessions are set to take place primarily in the United States. This album will be BTS’s first major group project since their 2022 anthology album Proof and their first full studio album since BE in 2020.

All BTS members except Jin are currently in Los Angeles working on the new group album with top music producers. Jin will join the group after holding shows in Newark, London, and Amsterdam as part of his fancon tour, RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR.

More recently, V teased “a little something” for ARMY in August, however, it is not yet confirmed he is hinting at a group or solo project.

Meanwhile, BTS dropped their live concert album, Permission to Dance on Stage – Live, which debuted at No.10 on the Billboard 200.
