Girls’ Generation’s YoonA is closing out her hugely successful year with a special return to music. After spending 2025 earning major praise and awards for her acting work, she is now releasing a new digital single, “Wish to Wish,” on December 19 at 6 p.m. KST.
The song is meant as a winter gift for her fans, prepared to thank everyone who has supported her through a very busy and meaningful year.
Previously, SM Entertainment shared that the track was prepared “as a gesture of gratitude for the love she has received from fans throughout the year.” YoonA herself described it as a song for the viewers, movie-goers, and fans who stayed by her side.
YoonA took part in writing the “Wish to Wish” lyrics, which makes the release even more meaningful. She explained that her previous solo songs had covered spring, summer, and autumn, and that this warm winter track completes her seasonal series. Fans will hear it live for the first time at her “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” fan meeting in Seoul on December 20.
This new release comes after an impressive year for YoonA as an actress. Her film “Pretty Crazy,” where she played both a bakery owner and a devil, received strong reviews. In addition, her tvN’s rom-com Bon Appétit, Your Majesty with Lee Chae Min became one of the highest-rated tvN dramas of the year and topped Netflix charts.
She also collected multiple major awards, including Actor of the Year (Film) at the 30th Consumer’s Day KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards. More recently, she won the AAA Grand Prize Actress of the Year in the TV category and the Popular Star Award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.
“Wish to Wish” is YoonA’s long-awaited comeback to her roots as a singer since her 2019 special album “A Walk to Remember.” She said she prepared the new song so that “everyone can wrap up the year while listening to it,” describing it as a comfortable winter track with a warm feeling.
Mark your calendar for December 16 when YoonA releases her winter single, “Wish to Wish.”
