Apink member Yoon Bomi and songwriter–producer Rado have announced plans to get married next year. This exciting announcement comes after nine years of dating. The couple will tie the knot in May 2026 and shared the news with fans on December 18.
The announcement was first confirmed through a statement from Apink’s agency, With Us Entertainment, which requested fans to “send warm support for the couple as they begin a new chapter in their lives.” On the same day, Bomi personally reached out to fans by posting a handwritten letter on Apink’s official fan community.
In her message, the 32-year-old singer expressed both gratitude and nervous excitement, saying, “I have decided to spend the rest of my life with someone who has been by my side… for a very long time.”
She reassured fans that marriage would not change her commitment to her career. Bomi added that she would continue to live “with a strong sense of responsibility.” The idol promised to give back through “even better activities, both as a member of Apink and as Bomi.”
Bomi and Rado’s relationship began through work. The two first met professionally in 2016 while collaborating on Apink’s song “Only One,” which Rado composed. Their relationship turned romantic in 2017, though it remained private for several years.
They publicly confirmed their relationship in April last year after dating rumors surfaced. Rado, whose real name is Song Jooyoung, is 41 years old, nine years older than Bomi.
Rado is a well-known figure in the K-pop industry. He is best recognized as one half of the hit-producing duo Black Eyed Pilseung, which he formed in 2014 with Choi Kyu Sung. The duo officially disbanded in March due to differing musical directions. Rado is also the founder and CEO of High Up Entertainment, the agency behind the girl group STAYC.
Over the years, Rado has been responsible for some of K-pop’s biggest hits. As part of Black Eyed Pilseung, he produced chart-topping songs for TWICE such as “Like Ooh-Ahh,” “Cheer Up,” “TT,” “Likey,” and “Fancy,” as well as Apink’s signature tracks “I’m So Sick,” “%% (Eung Eung),” and “Dumhdurum.”
His work also includes SISTAR’s “Touch My Body,” Chungha’s “Roller Coaster” and “Gotta Go,” and STAYC’s “SO BAD,” “ASAP,” “RUN2U,” and “Bubble.” Even before Black Eyed Pilseung, Rado had notable credits, including Apink’s “Hush” in 2012 and 4Minute’s “Volume Up.”
The marriage news arrives at a meaningful time for Bomi’s group, Apink. The group is preparing for a major comeback with its 11th mini-album, RE : LOVE, scheduled for release on January 5, 2026.
The album celebrates Apink’s 15th anniversary since their 2011 debut and will be their first release in three years, following Self in 2023. It is also their first album since Chorong, Bomi, Namjoo, and Hayoung signed with With Us Entertainment in June 2025. The title track for the upcoming EP is “Love Me More.”
