Korean Music Awards 2026 Nominees Announced

On December 23, the announcement was made along with the first trailer. It immediately drew attention from fans around the world who have followed the show since its debut. As of now, Single’s Inferno 5 contestants have not been officially revealed by Netflix.

Single’s Inferno Season 5 Release Date

According to Netflix, Single’s Inferno Season 5 will premiere globally on January 20, 2026. All episodes will be released exclusively on Netflix, just like previous seasons.

PD Kim Jae Won shared his thoughts on the milestone, saying he was deeply moved by the renewal. He credited the success of the show to the contestants who have participated since Season 1 and to the viewers who have continuously supported the series.

A More Intense and Exciting New Season

The production team has described Season 5 as a season focused strongly on “excitement.” PD Kim explained that this time, the show aims to feel even more like a true dating program.

He also promises “various love lines and strong characters” and “interesting relationships you have never seen before.”

Viewers can expect more emotional moments, stronger personalities, and new kinds of relationships. The goal is to show more natural and interesting interactions between the contestants, based on feedback from earlier seasons.

A teaser video has already been released, hinting at a “more thrilling paradise” and a “more poisonous inferno.”

Single’s Inferno 5 Format

Single’s Inferno 5 will continue its well-known format. Singles compete to find love on a remote island (“Inferno”) to escape to a luxury hotel (“Paradise”) as a couple.

In Paradise, contestants are allowed to reveal personal details like their age and profession, which often becomes a turning point in the relationships. For Season 5, the producers plan to give contestants more time together so relationships can develop more naturally and feel more genuine on screen.

Cast and Hosts

The contestants for Season 5 have not yet been revealed. Casting is known to be highly competitive, with thousands of applicants considered each season. The production team looks for people who are visually appealing but also relatable and emotionally expressive.

The popular panel of hosts, including Hong Jin Kyung, Lee Da Hee, Kyuhyun, Hanhae, and Dex, is reportedly being positively considered for a return. Their commentary and chemistry have become a key part of the show’s identity.

Why Single’s Inferno Season 5 Is a Big Deal

Reaching a fifth season is a major achievement. Single’s Inferno has consistently ranked in Netflix’s Global Top 10 for non-English TV. Season 3 topped charts in over 30 countries, while Season 4 gained massive attention among younger viewers through platforms like TikTok and YouTube.

The show’s producers have publicly acknowledged and acted on criticism from Season 4. The main complaints centered on an imbalanced “survival challenge” that eliminated contestants and uneven screentime that focused on only a few “main” love stories. For Season 5, they have promised to fix this by bringing in a larger and more diverse cast to make sure love stories are spread out more widely.

Producer Kim Jae Won has teased that Season 5 will feature stronger, more stylish female contestants, calling it a season of “femme fatales”.

Where to Watch Previous Seasons

All previous seasons of Single’s Inferno are currently available on Netflix. Season 1 aired in late 2021, followed by Season 2 in 2022, Season 3 in 2023, and Season 4 earlier in 2025.

With Season 5 officially set for January 2026, now is a good time for fans to revisit the earlier seasons or catch up before the new cast enters Inferno once again.
