Lee Jun Hyuk recently spoke about an awkward moment that happened during the 2025 Asia Artist Awards (AAA).
The ceremony was held on December 27, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand. The event gathered leading figures from K-pop and Korean dramas. Among the attendees was YoonA, a member of Girls’ Generation and an established actress. The two were seated together, and fans have been hoping for them to star in a project since then.
Lee Jun Hyuk has recently received praise for his acting in the mystery thriller, The Art of Sarah, released earlier this month on Netflix. During a more recent interview with Kmedia, the 41-year-old actress talked about his encounter with the SNSD member.
According to him, the first words he said were, “I want to disappear.” He later described the comment as embarrassing.
Lee Jun Hyuk revealed that AAA 2024 was his “first time having a conversation with YoonA-ssi,” and he “feels truly sorry.
Lee tried to explain what went through his mind. “I think it is not easy to meet someone for the first time in a place that is not your own space.”
He confessed, “Of all things, the first words I said were ‘I want to disappear’—even now, when I think about it, it’s so embarrassing.”
“Next time, I would like to have a conversation in a normal condition,” he said hopefully. “Instead of having a proper conversation with the people sitting next to me, I think I was sending a signal asking for help, and I regret that inwardly.”
Lee Junhyuk debuted in 2006 and gained wider recognition through projects such as Secret Forest. He later reprised his role in the 2024 spin-off and received award nominations for his performance. His other acting credits include Sweet Home, Love Scout, Vigilante, and 12:12 The Day.
YoonA debuted in 2007 as a member of Girls’ Generation and later expanded into acting. She has appeared in dramas including King the Land, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, The K2, and several films.
