ATEEZ’s Hongjoong, known for his kind heart and generosity, has made a truly remarkable gesture by making a generous donation to support children battling cancer.
On November 17, The Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on pediatric cancer, shared that Hongjoong made a generous donation of 50 million won to support treatment.
On November 7, Hongjoong raised 50 million won by combining his own money with the proceeds from the admission fee of the ‘WALKER A’ film photo exhibition held for his birthday.
The donation was made in the name of Hongjoong and ATINY, which adds even more meaning to the anniversary of ATEEZ’s fan club, ATINY.
As per the official of the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, the entirety of Hongjoong’s donation will be utilized to support the expenses of treatment for pediatric cancer patients and children diagnosed with rare incurable diseases.
Hongjoong expressed his gratitude for the chance to share the love he received from his fans in a meaningful way. He also hopes that this donation will inspire children battling childhood cancer to continue their treatment without facing financial obstacles, and instead, dream of a bright future.
Last year, ATEEZ’s leader generously donated 10 million won from his personal film photo exhibition ‘FROM NOVEMBER 7,1988’ to World Vision. The exhibition was held to celebrate his birthday, and through this donation, he aimed to support children who dream of becoming musicians.
